Feedback about my blog
Hello! Yesterday I made a questionnaire and sent it out to some people. First, I asked them if they could read my blog and then fill out the questionnaire with honest good/bad criticism. I received some really good feedback, so today I'm going to talk about it and share my opinions. (Everyone who did it will remain anonymous!)
My first question was : "Do you find my blog interesting to read? Everyone said yes.
My second question was : "If yes, what about my blog is interesting?" I got quite a lot of feedback.
A few of them said:
"I love the fact you can have a mystery box"
"If these products were to be made, they would help so many people"
"Your blog has a personal touch and speaks directly to the reader/customer."
"It was very powerful."
"You care a lot about people, it's very special."
"The reasoning behind her blog and the information around it."
"Seeing the start of a brave journey."
Seeing these comments really made me smile, knowing that I could possibly help someone has just inspired me even more. I've been reading over some more feedback through my other questions, and then referring back to my blog and noticing little bits that don't make sense, or don't have the correct grammar and I didn't realise how many little mistakes I had made, I was so invested in getting all my thoughts out that I hadn't realised! After posting this blog, I am going to go back over my blog and fix my mistakes. I won't remove any of my mistakes, but I will highlight them and then add what I should've said or spelt so you can see what I've changed!
My third question was : "If no, what is it about my blog that you don't find interesting? (Is it poorly written? Is it boring? Does it make sense? Etc.) I didn't get any responses on that, so I think that is a good thing.
My fourth question was : "If you wrote this blog instead of me, what would you change?" I got 7 responses on this question, 3 of which said they would change nothing (I felt pretty good about that!) Someone suggested that I added pictures of my product and another suggested "adding pricing for different shipping options for the customer to choose from". Originally, I had it written down but removed it because it looked a bit...pushy? Another person said:
"the language techniques used were excellent and the blog sold the product perfectly" which is really nice to read. (I assume that comment is from my teacher which is a GOOD thing!) I got a huge comment about what someone would change about my blog, and I think its good, constructive criticism, it says:
"Personal experience details and information, some people may feel mislead as no one feels the same or has the same experience, it may be very similar but everyone’s different. Some people may feel like they don’t matter still as there case isn’t as “significant” as yours and they may be disappointed if these boxes work for one person that has similar feelings to them but doesn’t work to them. It came across as you said it will work, although that’s having hope in your business you don’t know that it’s going to work because you’re not that person buying the products. Also giving information about personal experience is great as long as it’s brief n to me and you it is brief but to others that don’t know you it’s to much information they may see it as a way for you to reach out rather than them and a way for you to “ gain attention” on your mental health not mental health as a whole. I however don’t see it like this because I know you however if it was someone else’s I can see why people would think these things! I mean no criticism or anything bad against you as this is good! I just giving some advice which is the purpose of this questionnaire"
After reading, I looked back through my first and second post on my blog and saw what they meant, I'm going through and adding things and changing things up (I'm doing it with highlights so you can see what I've changed/added on my next post). I think that It's hard to write a blog about trying to make and sell a product and doing that by being on a personal level with people so they genuinely understand you're not some fake person trying to make money. The point of this blog wasn't to make someone feel like they "don't matter" and that their issues aren't as "significant" as mine, it was to raise awareness and show others that I DO understand mental health (specifically depression and anxiety) and how hard it is to cope. I only had a short time frame to do this and I was starting from scratch, my own business, with my own experiences and thoughts and knowledge. I'm not a professional, nor am I a therapist. I was failed by school and failed by CAMHS, and I know that a lot of young people are being failed by the same things I was failed by, It was one of the worst times of my life and I don't want anyone to feel like that. I haven't had the same experiences as everyone else, I have had similar experiences though. If someone wants to buy my box, then that's an amazing first step for them, whether it works or not, they're trying to get better and that is what matters.
My fifth Question was: "How could I have improved my blog?"
Most of the responses were about my grammar, so making sure I have capital letters for the letter "i", adding photos and visuals of my products and orders as they are helpful for others to see, adding pricing for different shipping options.
My next question was if they would buy my product and they all said yes.
My final question was a rating out of 5 and I for a 4.86 out of 5!
Overall I am so pleased with everyone who read my blog and then did my questionnaire, I got some really good feedback which I can further improve my assignment and hopefully even a business. I am so thankful for all the support and love I've received over the past couple of weeks that I have had to be able to do this in such a short amount of time and I want it to be absolutely perfect. My next blog will be a replica of my first and second blog, but with all my improvements and added bits of information (again, you can see this through the highlighted comments!
