Blog about Comfort And Soothe!
Hello, my name is Emily and I am the founder of Comfort & Soothe Boxes. The reason I am starting this blog is to keep an update on everything I do, and share the experience with you. My business is nothing but a hopeful plan at the moment. I have nothing to show or prove to you that my business is great, but with due time, you'll see. I want to make a coping mechanism called a "self-soothe boxes" that are often used in CBT therapy, they don't work for everyone but that's mainly because they don't know what they need, or they can't go out and get the things they need, that's what I'm here for. I want to make solid, helpful boxes to help people cope when they are struggling with their mental health because I do believe everyone who struggles with their mental health deserves to feel loved, and supported. I know what it's like to feel alone, and like nobody understands you. I know what it feels like when no one really understands just how much you're struggling, how heavy your heart feels and how sore your eyes are from crying. I know how painful it is to not have skin on the ends and the sides of your fingers because you're so anxious. But with my comfort and sooth boxes, you have a less likely chance to feel that pain. No, my boxes won't heal you, or cure you of your mental illness, but i really do hope it calms and makes someone, even if it's just one person, feel less sad. less alone. less misunderstood. There is always someone in life who is struggling, and identifying it isn't the easiest thing in the world, some people are really good at hiding it until they can't anymore.
About The Product:
My box comes with 3 options : 3 piece // 5 piece // and 8 piece (Of course, you could add your own items if it helps you - i won't be offended!)
The difference is, you can either choose the items yourself, or pick a mystery option - where I hand pick things myself and send the box off to you, the items you can choose for are: a scented candle, a mindful colouring book, an anxiety ring, either coloured pencils or coloured pens, a pair of fluffy socks, a recovery pen (if you struggle with self-harm), a notebook, and a fidget toy. My colour theme is a baby blue as it's a calming colour and I personally think it's a good fit for my business.
If you need something else that I can provide, drop me an email and we can have a chat. I'm not in this for the money, If I could afford to do it for free, I would, but buying all the items, producing everything and making sure I can make it all work, would add up to quite a bit of money. My box is a lot more cheaper than most of them out there because I know how hard money is now with inflation and all. If you were to look on Etsy, you'd see boxes for £10-£20, but mine are alot cheaper because I know money is harder to get nowadays/
As of the 9th of April, I've made a couple of Logos for my business, and I've made a shop home page plan, as an example of what I want it to look like. I need to make a business, and make sure everything is accessible, when I have done that, I will update the blog and add the link to the website to the blog.
As of April 10th, I've made a website! I create a blog site (this page here), an about me page, an email, an Instagram, and added a link to each word so that when you click on it, it automatically takes you to that page! I haven't figured out how to make a shop link yet...And I haven't taken any photos of a product, but hopefully I will be able to do that in the next 2 weeks.
